With NetPIM you would simply use your friend's computer and log in the NetPIM to get your data.

But fear not, NetPIM allows you to enter your contact's birthdays or make events for important stuff and it will notify you when the time as come
(or some time before, you can customize it).
Notifications can be sent by mail or even SMS, NetPIM is your backup brain :)
